Gravity, a Simple Idea


Gravity, a Simple Idea© 2011 Eugene Bunt This knol is the first of three and should be read first so that you will understand where my ideas originate. The second article "Big Bang," addresses Einstein's cosmological constant, it presents a theory that allows the universe to keep expanding. The third knol, "Electrically Stimulated Acceleration" contains an experiment that lends credence to these theories I'm presenting.Quote by Albert Einstein: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”Gravity is equivalent in all respects to centrifugal force which is acceleration caused by being constrained by an external centripetal force moving it in a new direction. Gravity is momentum of matter induced by matter moving through space, gaining kinetic energy, then decelerating. Gravity is simply a change in uniform motion. We would logically like to establish gravity as either a particle or wave so that it is not just a mysterious force. The greatest scientific minds have unsuccessfully searched well over a hundred years for this gravity wave or particle using the best equipment available. To date, nobody has found any evidence of a gravity particle or wave. We should accept experimental results and look for another reason for gravity. If gravity were the product of a collection of mass, you would expect the center of the Earth to be hollow because the pull from all sides would cancel the pull from opposite sides at that location which adds to the mystery.What if the fabric of space were flexible, depending on a timescale for its local fabric size? Time slows relative to the quantity of mass in a body. Einstein proposed that gravity is caused by warped space/time. This idea has been validated by astronomers photographing background constellations during a solar eclipse. The results were astonishing in that the star's positions were not drawn closer to the Sun, but were farther from the Sun's surface as if you were observing them through a huge positive lens. Einstein described the mechanics of this bending of light by imagining the process of light passing through a series of elevators rising from the Sun's surface (The Evolution of Physics © 1938 by Albert Einstein and Leopold Infeld page 220.) As light enters the far-side moving toward your observation point, it enters at a higher level, as it traverses the rising elevator it would necessarily exit at a lower level on your side. This transfer of light from elevator to elevator bends light so that it appears to be coming from a wider angle than it would if it were a straight line past the surface of the Sun (see Fig 1&2).Matter moving through space affects its time, slowing time at an increasing rate relative to that matter's increasing velocity, as witnessed by a local stationary observer. Space therefore has tangible properties. Time is a comparative phenomenon. Your own time will always seem to be the constant, right, and proper time, but, from another view elsewhere in the universe it will be your time undergoing the time-rhythm change and from that point of view their time is the correct one. We expect the comparison of time to appear as if the slower time-rhythm area is moving in slow motion, wrong. What we see from a slower time-rhythm area is that light emanating from that location is red-shifted.Time slows in the presence of mass. What if? Matter manufactured space and matter by moving through that space had its time-rhythm slowed. Einstein's proposal of light bending through a series of rising elevators describes a situation where mass is responsible for producing space. Matter maintains a degree of momentum on a declining scale with time after its velocity changes. Then we could put two ideas together, Sir Isaac Newton first law of motion: 1>There exists a set of inertial reference frames relative to which all particles with no net force acting on them will move without change in their velocity. This means a body moves through space freely without resistance, once in motion, stays in uniform motion unless acted upon by an external unbalanced force. 2>Einsteins rising elevator visualization, the fabric of space is being generated, stretched by the slower time-rhythm in the presence of mass, is the bodies gravitational field, a trigger that causes momentum to directionally change, add to, existing momentum of matter. All matter has kinetic energy, momentum. Change in momentum lags change in velocity. Space moves freely through matter without resistance. Matter acquires momentum by moving through space. Matter is stopped by the Earth's surface creating deceleration. Gravity is identical to centripetal force, change in direction due to an outside force. Each new wave of passing space adjusts momentum of matter according to its current velocity because change in momentum lags change in velocity. An object in free fall is accelerating without the sensation of acceleration. An object in orbit around the Earth has its gravitational attraction nullified by the centripetal gravitational pull being equal to its acceleration from changing direction. Einstein noted that the mass and weight of matter being equal is remarkable. It is more remarkable when this is true in unequal gravitational fields, as when Buzz Aldrin dropped a feather and a hammer on the moon. The force of gravity has a quandary meeting all of this criteria. With the evidence provided we have to take a real leap in thinking and dismiss the concept of gravity being either a force or particle.Light is the messenger which conveys our interactions to our surroundings. Wave shape conveys more information corresponding to its length to height ratio. Spectral lines emitted by each element red-shift down the color chart as a binary star moves away from you while maintaining wave height. The ensuing photon distortions caused by matter's direction of motion plus its velocity through space transmit more than just a picture, it is the direction of travel of that matter. Consider wave distortion of the photon exchange for air flowing over the top of an airplane wing. Both the air and the wing look at each other as the other being in a slower time-rhythm area, making longer photons. The Lorentz transformation shrinks the wave height making the light wave distortion longer but narrower, obviously we have great attraction between the two materials.As matter gains velocity its time slows. Matter also gains kinetic energy as its velocity increases which acts as if it has acquired mass dominating stationary objects that it may strike proportional to its velocity. Slower moving faster time rhythm matter requires less energy to cause to accelerate. Space is generated in a gravity field, then matter on the surface gains inertia by moving through that space, matter then decelerates at the surface. Gravity is a change in motion due to an obstacle in the path of matter. When stopped by the planet surface, matter maintains a constant velocity by not being combined with a greater prior velocity and experiences constant deceleration. Lag time between change in motion and change in momentum creates deceleration which is the sensation of gravity. Look at any gravitational embedding diagram, notice the leg to get to the next inward concentric circle becomes longer for each move closer to the mass.An atomic bomb was built around the theory of a black-hole. A black-hole is an area which has a gravitational singularity at its center that is so powerful that even light is not fast enough to escape. As an object falls in, its time slows, then freezes at the event horizon, and it falls for an eternity into the singularity. The last photons radiating out of this atomic implosion were of such long wave-length that they appear black. Regional blackout is a distinguishing characteristic of an atomic implosion. Photon wavelength and space/aether length are proportional equivalents elongating as time slows. Counter-intuitively we witness a quanta of energy moving farther in a slower time-rhythm per pulse of our time, than it does in our faster time-rhythm observation location. Fortunately there is an isolation distance beyond which acceleration diminishes faster than momentum is gained between our universe and the singularity. As velocity increases, so does the reluctance to accelerate. Because a black-hole has unlimited space within, and an eternity, it is viewed by many as a porthole into a new universe.Conclusion:We can't identify, isolate, find gravity, because there is no such thing. There is movement through space and momentum. Movement itself generates heat in the local vicinity. The exchange of photons is most likely to be the result of a movement of space.Space: Space has properties, I'm writing about what we think of as nothing.Space, time, and light, are inexorably linked affecting the kinetic energy of matter. Where large quantities of matter exist, time slows, and the fabric of space becomes longer. The fabric of space affects the energy consumed in acceleration of matter extending its influence to all physical properties of matter. Space/time affects photon exchange and light is the messenger for the change in space/time across the universe.Space plays an integral part in setting local time-rhythm for matter which controls photon exchange perceptions both incoming and outgoing. Photon exchange can control the momentum of matter.Evidence for the expansion of the fabric of space is demonstrated in the photographic plates of background constellations taken during a solar eclipse showing the deflection of light caused by the presence of a large gravitational field with its inherent slower time scale (review figure 2.) Albert Einstein said that this bending of light from the background stars was caused by the Sun's gravitation field warping space. Einstein further stated, how to imagine the mechanics of this affect was to picture a series of rising elevators from the Sun's surface. Light entering the far side of the elevator would necessarily exit at a lower level on the near side of the elevator (review figure 3.)Rising elevators from all of the Sun's surface. It follows that, large collections of mass with an inherent slower time rhythm is creating space itself. The velocity of the rising elevators is dependent on the amount of mass at that location. This flow of space is only detectable when there is light shining through the gravitational field of a very massive body. We recently have wondered at the accelerating expansion of the universe. The expansion of the universe is caused by congregated mass creating space and expanding the space between the stars.We seldom consider space as anything more than an inert distance between objects that is measured. Space does have tangible effects on matter, by slowing matter's time as the velocity of matter through space increases. Matter also gains momentum by moving through space. The faster matter is moving, the harder it is to be deflected from its path. Viewing a slower time scale is counter intuitive in that we imagine if we view matter undergoing slowing of time it would appear as things going into slow-motion, in reality what we observe is light red-shifting while maintaining wave height when emanating from a slower time scale.The atomic bomb was our first conscientious attempt at manipulating space/time, it was made using the principle of a black hole. The makers of the bomb were not sure that the whole universe would not be sucked into this black hole that they were creating, called an implosion bomb at the time *(I think this was in From Xrays to Quarks by Emilio Segre, very good book.) In a black hole matter is pulled in and at the event horizon time freezes as matter exceeds the speed of light, is converted to energy as it falls for an eternity toward the singularity. We were not sucked in, there was a finite time as measured by us in which this black hole existed. While this black hole was here we observed what was an eternity and infinite space, as a regional instantaneous blackout, because the last photons out elongated to a flat line as matter passed the event horizon.Mass on the inside of a black hole does not affect us, the eternity measured within the event horizon does not exist on our side of this barrier. A continuing black hole such as the one at our galaxy center is dependent on in-falling matter and the momentum of that matter pushing it into the schwarzschild radius for its continuing existence. What is past the event horizon no longer affects us in our universe. Each universe is based on multiple singularity centers which continuously feed space into the universe at varying rates creating an even distribution of matter throughout each universe because when more mass is present more space is provided.There is evidence that every gravity center drags with it an influence on light ("vibrations of pockets of space," my theory) found in the divergence between the Michelson, Morley experiment done in the 1890's and the second version of this experiment done by Georges Sagnac in 1913. The Michelson, Morley experiment was attached to a rotating planet while the Georges Sagnac version was performed on a rotating disc on the surface of the planet, the first experiment found no difference in the speed of light while the latter version did. Space seems to be a locally centered phenomenon dependent on the amount of matter present for its degree of influence, leading me to believe that we live in a multi-centered universe. This thought combined with the even distribution of background radiation discovered at Bell Labs recently leads me to conclude that we have a non Euclidean universe with the amount of warp to the fringes depending on the local amount of mass.Most galaxies have a specific shape which means they have to rotate as a single unit, as if the stars of the galaxy were images printed on a paper, then the paper rotated, otherwise the galaxy would lose its shape in a single rotation. In our solar system outer planets have to maintain higher velocities in order to gain greater orbits. With all the stars in a galaxy creating space, imagine that there must be cross flows of space. Matter caught between these crossflows would find itself moving in opposite directions at the same time further slowing local time at the galactic center from the point of view of an observer outside the galaxy.Titus-Bode's law predicts the distances between planets and the Sun. If you take a rotating disc subjected to a rhythmic vibration and sprinkle salt on it, the salt will distribute itself into evenly spaced concentric circles with evenly spaced spokes appearing between circles. Our solar system acts as if it is connected to an invisible, vibrating surface.How the Universe Works:Momentum is independent from velocity in that it remains in excess as velocity increases or decreases, there is a time lag between change in momentum and change in velocity. Albert Einstein said there is absolutely no difference between angular momentum from centripetal force and gravity. Gravity is therefore momentum left over after there is a change in velocity.Sir Isaac Newton said a body moves through space freely without friction. Matter gains momentum by moving through space. As we stand on our planet we would like to determine whether we are accelerating upward as space is being pulled in by gravity or decelerating on the planet surface. The first observations confirming relativity were photographs of a background constellation during a solar eclipse showing that light is bent in a large gravitational field. This light arriving on Earth appears as if we are observing the constellation through a huge positive lens. (I wonder if there is color aberration from this lens.) Einstein said to imagine this as if space were a series of elevators rising from the Sun and that the light is bent by entering the elevator slightly higher on the far side as it enters, then exits slightly lower on our side from our observation point. That settles the issue of our direction of travel in favor of we are decelerating on the surface of the planet. Momentum is generated by matter moving through space then momentum is deployed when matter touches the Earth's surface.We live in an expanding universe. All objects are moving away from one another at an accelerating rate of expansion. There is a homogenous distribution of matter throughout the universe. At locations were there is large quantities of matter, time slows, and the fabric of space elongates, look at a gravitational imbedding diagram, it shows the length of the fabric of space elongating as the height narrows. As you move away from the large mass, the fabric of space evens out to a more equitable distribution with less length to height ratio distortion. Wave shape plays an important role in the momentum of matter. The length to height ratio distortion of space causes momentum of matter to be directionally exaggerated. The effect of matter radiating space naturally distributes matter evenly, where more matter congregates, more space is provided. Combine these concepts with the image of an expanding photon sphere, where the leading edge area of the photon is much larger than the trailing edge area, until you become remote from the source, then leading and trailing edges even out and the leading wave front is almost a perfect plane.From micro to macro there is an undealt with duality in nature, electrons all move at the speed of light, and they all move from position to position within an atom at the same time no matter what their shell level is. Galaxies rotate as a single unit otherwise they would lose their shape within a single rotation. We observe outer planets in our solar system maintaining higher velocities in order to remain in greater orbits. We also have Kepler's time to orbit length comet sweeps, the evenly timed lengths of a comet orbit, times the distance from the Sun contain an equal amount of area on a flat plane surface between the two. We also have Bode's law where the planet locations are at evenly spaced distances from the Sun, and, electron shell level locations also being at specific distances from the nucleus. Acceleration in our gravitational field also coincides with multiples of electron energy shell levels. These seemingly conflicting concepts have to square with each other to fill in the complete picture of reality. Where this will be going when I find more time to write (the plan):1> Light: Transfer of energy, length to height wavelength ratio affect on momentum. For now, read the Big Bang, it has a more extensive description of light.2> Linear electromagnetic wave.3> Three orientations of electrons coming from a hot oven compared to two orientations within an atom. (Side-rail with some potential.)4> Strings: How this will develop. a> Light energy transfer, size to energy level distortion, shell level multiple to single jumps up and down. Preponderance of energy, preferred direction of energy statistical chances. b> Electron rotation more frequently on circumference of orbit on faster time-rhythm side than slow rhythm side, momentum toward the fast side. Less segments per wider swing (being bigger circular flux lines equals slower time-rhythm side within relativity limitations, see “Electrically Stimulated Acceleration.)) c> Narrower swing side toward mass equals momentum toward the mass, wider swing side toward the mass equals momentum away from the mass. (1) Bring in idea of preponderance of one charge over another, stronger flux lines, linear electromagnetic waves, one way universal time, to the concept of momentum. (See “Electric Stimulated Acceleration.) (2) Lorentz transformation, photon distortion.
